Helle Lauridsen
ProQuest

As the regional customer relations manager for ProQuest Workflow Solutions, Helle Lauridsen is actively engaged with librarians throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With a mission to build positive relationships with customers and ensure user satisfaction, she is in touch with the issues and challenge facing librarians.
Prior to joining the company, Helle was a product and technology manager for CSA, which later acquired ProQuest.  Her library career began as librarian for Chemistry Library at the University of Aarhus, and later as the head of serials and electronic acquisitions at the State and University Library in Denmark.
Helle is an active with UKSG, as a committee member, editor of UKSG eNews and serves on the editorial board for its journal, Insight. She is also on the committee of the Danish Forum for E-ressources. Her industry expertise is often revealed in numerous articles published in various journals. In addition to leading countless educational sessions covering a range of compelling topics, conference organizers frequently invite her to speak because her perspective of real-world challenges facing libraries, combined with her ability to educate attendees on how technology can address these challenges is refreshing.

Helle has a history of supporting projects that bring electronic resources to developing nations and is currently serving as a volunteer librarian for the Research4Life program.  For some years she also worked as acting director for Nayuma Museum in Zambia , posted by the Danish Volunteer Services and she still have very strong ties to the region.
Helle earned a management degree from the Aarhus College of Business and holds an MLIS from the Royal Danish School of Librarianship.
